Made using vintage 5th Avenue fabric designed by Margarita Cushing, this handmade market bag reflects the romantic, garden-forward aesthetic that defined American interior textiles in the late twentieth century. Fifth Avenue fabrics were known for translating fine botanical illustration into accessible, high-quality home textiles, often drawing from traditional floral studies and European garden motifs. Cushing’s designs in particular favored expressive blooms, layered foliage, and soft movement that bridged classic florals with a more relaxed, contemporary sensibility.

The bag is fully lined and constructed for daily use while allowing the fabric’s artwork to remain the focal point.
