Manderston Crewel

Handmade from vintage woven fabric by Waverly in the print known as Manderston Crewel. Waverly is one of America’s longest-established decorative textile houses, widely used in residential interiors throughout the 20th century. This design is a printed interpretation of traditional crewel embroidery, drawing on historic English needlework motifs with scrolling florals and organic forms arranged in a balanced, heritage-inspired composition.

The fabric’s woven texture adds depth and substance, giving the surface a tactile quality that echoes the embroidered textiles it references. Fully lined and carefully constructed, this market bag brings the character of a classic Waverly interior fabric into a practical, everyday form. Made using repurposed vintage material, each piece feels distinctive, grounded, and thoughtfully made.
