Moody Mansion

Moody Mansion

Quantity

Handmade from vintage Scalamandré cotton dobby-weave “Moody Mansion” fabric in shades of rose, cranberry, leaf green, sky blue, and soft ivory. The pattern features richly detailed florals, leafy vines, and small songbirds, all rendered with the dimensional texture of a dobby weave that gives the fabric a tapestry-like feel. This print was originally created for design work connected to Moody Mansion in Galveston, Texas, a historic 1890s estate built in a blend of Victorian and Romanesque styles and long associated with the influential Moody family. Rare examples of this fabric were produced for restoration and period-inspired interiors, giving pieces made from it a unique link to Texas design history. Made using repurposed fabric, it blends a Scalamandré archival textile with a clean, functional design suited for everyday use.
