Dylan Kongos and Amber Denison are both musicians/artists, and although being in the outdoors and growing their own food was extremely important to them, a 15 acre property in Central Texas was never in their plans. Like most, Spring 2020 gave them time to re-evaluate their lives in Los Angeles and seriously think about what type of future they wanted to create. |
Dylan had 15 years of hands-on gardening knowledge that started at his previous home in Phoenix, AZ and Amber grew up on an organic vegetable farm in Kelowna, BC, Canada. After finding a beautiful property in Wimberley, they decided to start a a farm of their own to feed their family, friends and community |
The property has excellent soil as a result of being partially in flood-plain. Multiple 100-year-old Oak trees, numerous Spanish Oak groves, Black Walnut, Elm, Eastern Red Bud, Maple, Mimosa, and Crepe Myrtle create a diverse and lush landscape. They have also planted 100+ fruit trees (peaches, apple, pear, plum, apricot, and fig etc) in addition to the market-garden.
